They were supposed to....hug a tree? Was Thereos being serious? This was certainly strange. She watched as a classmate approached a tree and wrapped her arms around it. Nobody said anything or laughed. Apparently he was being serious.

Avalon restrained herself from rolling her eyes as she circled around their spot in the forest to find a tree. She found a medium-sized one, with a smooth looking bark and leaves that seemed to gleam in the sunlight. What kind of tree it was, she had no idea. Avalon was not very well-versed in the area of botany. She reached out and touched her palm to the trunk of the tree. She honestly didn't know if she could bring herself to hug it. That was just too odd for her.

But Thereos was watching, and she didn't want to come across as rude or unwilling. Swallowing her pride, she tentatively wrapped her arms around the tree, taking three very quick, but still deep, breaths. Thank goodness that part was over. Avalon plopped down under the tree, resting her head back against the bark. She had to admit, it did feel nice to sit outside and be in sync with nature. With her right hand, she reached down to the dirt and attempted to draw the symbol, whatever it meant. But one of the lines was lopsided. No, that just wouldn't do. She brushed her hand back over it, turning her design back into dust, before trying again. After she had her symbol drawn to her liking, Avalon followed Thereos's instructions and hovered her hand over it. This was an odd lesson indeed.
