After all of the stretching and the directions were given, Avery grabbed his broom and bat and took off with the others. It was nice to be back on his broom. Not being on one since the summer when he played for the Italian U17 team. He had always felt right at home on his broom. To his relief he had gotten up in the air just in time. Time to show off his skills.
This was his first time trying out for the school team. He knew that his parents would have never let him try out for the team unless his grades were up to par. Surprisingly his third year was his breakthrough year apparently. He was beyond excited when his parents said he could tryout this year.
Putting all of his excitement aside.HIs focus going to the two black balls, and the seven dummy that were around and doing their thing. Including some kind of well rehearsed dance routine by two of them, three were racing or so it seemed and the other two were doing their own thing. Somewhere from behind him he could feel the presents of a bludger. Sneaky little thing wasn’t it. He whirled his broom around to face the bludger. Gripping his bat he swung hard at the ball.
