| astronomizzle ♧ gryffinDORK | & the rest is drag ♣ #badluckDerf Eiji was still on the fence about Arithimancy as a whole. While he had already ruled out two electives entirely - Divination and Muggle Studies - there was something about this subject that he could not entirely shake and let go of. Perhaps it was because he appreciated the sturdiness and certainty that was numbers. After all, two plus two always equaled four no matter what language you spoke or who you were. There was a consistency there that was fantastic.
So...he was giving the subject another chance. Or...he was until he stepped into the classroom and saw the rubbish on the professor's desk. Bloody hell. Unless those were cursed and them practicing a bit of cursebreaking today, Eiji Rasting was not here for this.
"....professor," he greeted calmly, questioningly, as he made his way about the desks to find himself a seat. Quote:

After surveying the step up and the weird collection of objects on the professors desk for a moment she turned her attention to the professor, which Ellie greeted with a sunny smile in passing on her way to an empty desk. "Good morning Professor Sissay, why do you have such an odd combo of items on your desk? The elephants are cute though."
Choosing an empty seat in the same row as Holly she quickly took out parchments, quill, inks and her Arithmancy textbooks from her backpack and placed them on the desk in front of her. She was now ready and eager to start her first arithmancy lesson. Which happened to be beside a Gryffindor girl who was asking questions that, obviously, the woman was not going to answer. At least not yet.
"I'm hoping for a bit of cursebreaking," he offered the Gryffindor as he set his dragon hide messenger bag on the ground and proceeded to pull his textbook and other necessities for class from it.
