The English chasers were so good there was barely anything for Pete to do. That may be a bit of an exaggeration, he’d had to save a few goals from the Indian chasers so far, but the quaffle hadn’t headed his way in a while now. He watched his teammates pass it back and forth after intercepting a pass, and head toward the other end of the pitch. He was focused and ready, of course, because this was the World Cup and things could change at a moment’s notice. He was also watching out for the bludgers, which was fortunate because there seemed to be one heading straight for him. Pete angled his broom down and dived out of the way of the bludger. Once he was safely out of danger he continued circling the goal posts, keeping an eye out for any more.
