She didn't have any money on her, but if she saw something really really really nice she'd beg her mam for a bit of change. A solid tactic. For now just having a look would have to do. Céline glanced around hoping to maybe, just maybe, run into one of her pals, but nope. Just Max. "Hiya!"
Or... She squinted at Max. Or the other one. That looked like the Max but wasn't the Hufflepuff boy. It was the other one. The not so shy one. WELL. Quote:

Józef Kowalski needed there to be a mirror in here. Because right then he was holding up little packages with magic moustaches in them and trying to see which one would suit him best. The only problem was that although he was holding the pictures up against his face, he couldn't see what they looked like because there was no mirror in here.
It was as he was scanning the room wildly for a reflective surface that the first voice reached him. Swinging around, handlebar-moustache box held against his upper lip, Jó eyed the boy who'd greeted him - he recognised him, presumably from school, but didn't know him. That didn't stop him from barking his question, though. "Got a mirror?!" It was urgent.
The arrival of another voice was a pleasant surprise to Józef when he realised it was a girl. Had he known that said girl thought he was Max, he would definitely have reacted differently, but Jó was happy assuming she was saying hi because she mad fancied him. He grinned back, though it wasn't completely visible, and then quickly swapped boxes to display a 'middle-age beard'. "Which one looks better?" Alexander turned when he heard another voice. It was a girl, an older girl. He didn't know what her name was but he did recognize her from school. And she was saying hi, but not to him. He assumed that meant her and the boy knew each other. Did that mean he felt left out? No, in fact it did not. What it did mean was that there were more people for him to talk to, which was exciting. "Hello." He gave her the same cheerful smile.
His attention was turned back to the boy. Józef. His name was Józef, he remembered that. And he was trying on fake mustaches. The question about which one looked better may have been more directed to the girl than to him, but Alexander had never been shy about stepping in to conversations. So he felt it was fine to offer his own opinion on the matter. "I like the mustache." It was better than the beard, in his opinion, though it did sort of depend on the look he was going for. |
