Pete was watching everything with a critical eye. He was mostly keeping an eye on the quaffle, of course. He had to be ready for it coming back to his end of the pitch. He was also looking out for the bludgers, ready to dodge out of the way if need be. That didn’t mean he was too distracted to notice Nyx grabbing the snitch. He allowed himself a moment of celebration on her behalf before regaining focus on the things immediately relevant to him.
England was in possession, which was good for several reasons. For one, it meant that he didn’t have to be immediately ready to defend the goals. He didn’t let himself relax too much, though. The Indian chasers were close, and if they intercepted a pass Pete needed to be focused and ready. He kept watching as he circled the goal posts, ready for anything that came his way.
