A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.

Kay grinned. “Oh, you assumed I had free time, Mr. Katharos. I was actually back at the secondary school I taught at before teaching at Hogwarts. I was substituting for another teacher who was out on sick leave. But yes, I was thinking of revenge and I was not the only one.’’ She paused, considering the events of the last term. “I suppose everyone who was fired felt that way since we were able to hatch a plan to infiltrate Hogwarts.’’ Truth be told, she had found it exhilarating.

Seated comfortably in her seat, Kaysha remained silent, listening keenly to Dorian. She nodded at an interval or two. “Rest assured this stays between us. I will not judge you either because we all have our own opinions. Scrimgeour’s methods were indeed wrong. I always thought it was due to his background of being an Auror that made his so cold and strict. That job is rather demanding.’’

Had she done a bad thing by bringing up OWLs right now? She hoped not but Dorian’s immediate posture change was hard to miss. Then she was laughing quietly because even if he hadn’t meant it to be, his reaction was somewhat adorable. “If only I could,’’ Kay said with a wink. “I know OWLs seems scary and I’m not going to lie to reassure you but you will have to put in endless hours of work and studies. In the end, once you’ve done that, you will be rewarded with the most excellent grades.’’ Her head tilted at the last question. “I knew while I was studying here at Hogwarts. Learning was one of my passions and I believed that passing on knowledge to upcoming generations was what I wanted to do. It didn’t matter whether it was in the wizarding or muggle world.’’ Keen blue eyes eyed Dorian. “Have you decided what you would like to get into?’’
She had gone back to her secondary school to teach while she was away. So she was a teacher before coming to teach at Hogwarts as well? This impressed Dorian but it also made him feel a little miserable. Another person who had found their calling a long time ago..."You make it sound like the infiltration was a highly top secret military operation" he laughed at first but as he actually thought about it, it might have been...in some sense "Then again the enemy used to be a Head of the Aurors so i guess it was?" which meant that it was even more impressive that they had been able to deceive him.

After she assured him that his secret would stay safe between them, Dorian felt his shoulders relax and he nodded his head "Thanks, man that feels good to have that out of me" it had been troubling him all summer long.

He knew it was a long shot to ask her to sign his OWL papers right now but at least he had tried. The thought of having to spend countless of hours studying wasn't something he would dislike...maybe a litte bit...because he enjoyed learning and improving his skills. But the thought of others unintentionally or intentionally trying to intervene with his studies...that was whats giving him a headache. "Say, do i have permission to use the bat bogey hex on anyone who disturbs me while im trying to study for my exams?" he asked with a little grin. "Excluding the Professors of course" he added.

'Have you decided what you want to get in to?' The question made him look down at the desk in front of him and he sighed heavily. Then he looked up at the ceiling and scratched the top of his head. "I...can't say i have" he answered and looked back down again to eye level. "I don't have a particular skill. My grades are average and my interests changes constantly" he shifted himself higher up on the chair for he had realised he had slouched down. "I just can't find anything i really enjoy doing more than a month and im starting to get worried because its my OWL year already and i have to chose a direction soon" forget the exams, this was far more frightening. Maybe he should just make a roulette and choose the job that the arrow lands on?
