Being fairly sure that the creatures weren't in his own dormitory, Dorian had already turned back around and gone up the stairs to the sixth years when he heard suspicious noises.

Now with half the school in search, he doubted that the younger students were in the dormitories right now which only meant two things. Peeves. Or the mutants.

Wand still in his hand and Ammonite on his head, asleep, Dorian crept downstairs again, trying to make as little noise as possible. Last thing he wanted to do was scare them away.

Stopping at the third years dorm, the fifth year peeked inside and nearly awww'd at the sight of them. Despite knowing they were dangerous and had killed the Charms Professor, they were still adorable looking. He'd take these dangerous fluffies over an inferi any day.

Ok. So now he had to alert his Head of House. For the first time, he thought it was a shame that he wasn't able to cast a patronus so that meant that he had to go himself. Should he lock the door or something? That wouldn't stop them... Placing a defensive magical barrier? He wasn't powerful enough to do that...he had only mastered the protego charm a few months ago...

Deciding to not alarm the mutants in any way, he moved away from the door and continued down to the common room.
