"I'm quite happy here and starting to feel accustomed with the new routine." He leaned forward slightly, "I am a bit concerned with what is going on at Hogwarts right now. There appears to be some sort of infestation and I hope it doesn't pull too much attention away from the students' educations." After the previous year's troubles, they needed to be back on track. "Most of the Ministry seems to be consumed with Quidditch World Cup preparation. I'm happy to take on any extra responsibilities that may help you with the added work this must be causing." He wasn't exactly sure what that would be, but he knew that staff from every department was working overtime trying to get things ready for the big event. She simply smiled at his thank you, nodded, and took a sip from her own tea cup. Ah, yes, the infestation of... weird furry mutants. Since Foster was close to Hogwarts, January understood his concern and she sat up a little to address it. "I understand your concern, and appreciate it." Sometimes people in the Ministry forgot that they worked so closely with the school.
It was true, there was a lot of buzz about the World Cup at the moment, but truthfully, it helped distract from the chaos happening at Hogwarts. "I'm sure when this all settles you'll have a bit of work to do to help students prepare for University," she said, knowing that there would be a few who felt behind or perhaps unprepared. "But until then, if I think of anything that you may be able to help with, I'll certainly let you know." It was very kind of him to offer. And it wasn't the first time anyone had offered, either. |
