Natasha was already feeling discouraged as she was unable to find a partner. Part of her wanted to just run out and hide, but she was determined to see the lesson through. Getting up as quietly as she could, she fetched a fake wart from the box, then returned to her seat.
After placing the wart on the back of her hand, she readied her wand. ”Pulchtritudo.” She said quietly, giving her wand a tap. It didn't surprise her that nothing happened. Her wand reacted to her emotions. ”Pulchtritudo.” She tried again, attempting to sound more confident. Still nothing. Taking a deep breath to calm her nerves, she tried again. ”Pulchtritudo.” To her surprise, the wart vanished. She checked her hand, but it looked like the charm worked.
Now, for the real test. She found a small freckle on her arm. “Pulchtritudo.” She was scared to look at first, but her arm was fine, and the little freckle was temporarily gone.
As she was walking back from getting her wart she noticed a first year and smiled,
"Do you want to work with me? I don't have anyone and I see you don't have a partner either." Being they were both Ravenclaws she knew the girl. Seeing her take the freckle away Chloe frowned a bit.
"I know this is a temporary spell and I know we have to practice, but I really like your freckles, I wouldn't get rid of them if I were you." Honestly this class was playing with her own insecurities that she was having and seeing a younger student taking away a part that made them who they were, even if it was just because they were practicing really bothered her.
"Professor I know this is just practice and great for pimples and things that go away after time, but shouldn't we be really focusing on uplifting everyone around us not teaching them how to get rid of flaws that make them who they are and make them beautiful in their own way." She understood the lesson and someday, she might really need it if a boy noticed her, but right now she just felt it was possibly causing others to think of what they didn't like about themselves instead of what they liked.
Anyway, she needed to practice,
"Since I don't have freckles or pimples I got this wart to try." She put it on and giggled seeing her refection. Alright now what was the spell, doing the wand movement she concentrated,
"Pulchtritudo" Reaching up and touching her face she looked in the mirror and saw no wart.
