#1 Little Fox | ½ of Lauralie | Ravenclaw with a Hufflepuff heart and a Gryffindor soul | #HouseNATARIANA Honestly? Tessa didn't actually mind the idea of practising with the Slytherins. It was just a one-off, after all, right? It would definitely make them practise harder. Not that they wouldn't be practising hard anyway.....
Although she was a Chaser, and despite her short stature, Tessa actually had a reasonable amount of upper body strength. Small but MIGHTY. That's what she was. Tug-of-War was TOTALLY up her alley. She grinned and positioned herself around the mid-point of the Gryffindor side of the rope, just in front of Rylee, and got a solid grip on it. She stood slightly side on with one leg in front of the other, reading to shift her weight onto her back leg when Anna set them off.
..............
OOF.
Tessa shifted her weight, digging her heels into the ground, and pulled with all her might. Ignoring the sting of rope rubbing against her fingers and palms, she used all her weight to brace against the Slytherins' pull. When she felt steady, she moved her front foot behind her back foot and did her best to keep all her weight on the rope. It was all about being stable and keeping an unwavering hold on the rope. They could do it! Inch by inch.
COME ON, GRYFFINDOR! |
