However, at the mention of the feast Ronan's expression went from mildly scared to horribly embarrassed, a deep red spreading from his ears all the way down to his face and neck. Pink creature? Perhaps. There had been...... other things at the feast he would like to forget.
Speaking of, where's Maxie?
Still keeping close to Bel, Ronan peered around the gathering of students, trying to find his dormmate. They might not be best friends or anything but he didn't want him to die! .. They still had quidditch to play!! He heard the headmaster start talking, but only zoned in a few minutes after. Missing things? Uh.. ......... wait. WHAT. The twelve year old froze as everyone started talking and there was a house elf and someone said something about killing and Noble was rounding them up and.. and..
Mary was crying! He'd only noticed because Noble said first years at the front and he'd had to give Bel and the others a sad wave goodbye. "They're gonna fix it," Ronan said to her, trying to be calming despite sounding less than certain about what 'it' is, and what the fixing actually entailed.
You know, until his favourite great great grandma DOPPLE APPEARED AS A GHOST. Ronan GASPED and grabbed Mary's hand, eyes as wide as saucers. SHE'S A GHOST SHE REALLY DIED THE PINK THING ATE HER FOR REAL IT WAS REAL ??????????????
No one look, Ronan Wallace had also started crying. SHE DIED. She had been so kind and nice and marked his homework fairly and kind of reminded him of home sometimes even if she was the oldest person he'd ever met and and and nooooooooooooo.
As the Hufflepuffs shuffled into line, Mary tried in vain to stop crying. Hogwarts was nothing like home. She wanted her parents back, she wanted to play soccer again, she wanted her own bedroom, she wanted to talk to her mom, she just wanted the comforts of home!! The soccer ball was now at her feet, wet with tears.
Hearing Ronan's voice behind her was the last thing she wanted right now. He didn't even know what she was crying about. He actually thought it had to do with this situation. Did he even know what the situation was? Acting like he wasn't even there, she continued crying. Suddenly, he grabbed her hand and gasped. She wasn't too surprised by the ghost, just Ronans hand. Dolly Dopple was definitely crazy enough to do that.
Then Ronan himself burst out crying. Typical of him to cry over a professor he probably barely even knew. She turned away from him and cried into her shoulder. She didn't want the hyper boy trying to help her.
"Stop," she murmured.
