Manning the front desk, eh? That didn't sound like the most exciting task in the world, but if he had some time to spare here or there, Jake figured he wouldn't mind filling in. Might break up his time a little bit if nothing else, and he could double up with catching up on long, long overdue paperwork. He made a quick little note on his parchment - just a little 'front desk' to jog his memory later - before setting down his quill again.
As for updates and things to get rolling, Jake... he had just one thing he wanted to bring up, something he'd only recently put a good amount of thought into. But, with everyone gathered around like this, it suddenly occurred to him that it might be better to bring Lex the proposal later in person. Hmm, yes. Yes, he'd do just that. Jake shuffled the appropriate parchment to the bottom of the pile. Ahem.
Break-ins in Chudleigh, eh? Jake looked up at that and gave a nod of his head, before making another note on his parchment - 'Chudlee'. That was likely to keep him busy for Merlin knew how long, and so the sooner he got to it, the better.
Aaaaand... they were done? Short and sweet? Somehow, that made a lot of sense what with this being Alexa Cambridge and all. Very quickly, he piped up, "I have a proposal to show you at one point, Lex, about an idea for a sort of... programme. If it's alright, I'll come to your office when we're - hopefully - both free?" In the meantime, he was already gathering up his parchment and coffee, ready to head on out.
