Tessa was in the middle of a very boring piece of homework when the Headmaster's voice sounded and announced an emergency meeting. She was almost relieved to have an excuse to stop doing her homework...but then it dawned on her how serious an emergency meeting actually was. Their Headmaster didn't mess around and he wouldn't have called a meeting like this unless it really was serious. She left her unfinished homework where it was and stuffed a few things into her bag, slinging it over her shoulder before looking around the common room for her younger brother who she had seen just minutes ago. She soon found him and dragged him from the common room, only letting go when they were well on their way to the courtyard. She had no idea what the announcement had meant by not wanting 'to find yourself on the inside of something pink and furry' but it didn't sound good.
The part of Tessa that didn't think things through was VERY active right now. She was very tempted to go to the Hufflepuff CR on her way to the courtyard. In her mind she could justify it as 'being on the way', even though it really wasn't. But common sense overruled that urge. Everyone would have heard the announcement. There was no way of missing it. So, they would all be making their way to the courtyard now. She only needed to worry if Alfie and Eleanor didn't turn up. And Soraya. She hadn't been in the Gryffindor CR but....that didn't mean anything.
She wouldn't worry.
Not yet, anyway.
She stood watching the Headmaster, waiting for him to explain what was going on, but many students and staff weren't there yet so they could be waiting a few more minutes. Her eyes darted around, waiting for her sister, boyfriend and best friend to arrive. Where WERE THEY? |
