His head was still in the clouds and his nose was still in his comic book.
After taking a moment to flip to the next page and glance briefly around, he sidled into the spot beside Bel and gave her a little nudge. "Reckon this means we get the kitchen back?" It had taken them long enough. Bel glanced at Max and then reached out and took his hand. "I guess we'll see. Hopefully nobody is trapped in there or anything." Since it had just been the painting that had gone missing, hadn't it? Honestly Bel hadn't known anything big was going on until she'd come across the chewed up leaking pipes in the prefect's bathroom. But whatever the summoning was for it seemed a lot more serious than just that, so she just squeezed Max's hand gently, and glanced over her shoulder to see that Harri and Zoryn had come to a stop not far away having followed her here when she'd insisted any kids that she'd come across answer the summons too. Had something happened? Also, where was Liam? She looked up at Cam when she heard his voice and shook her head. "No idea. I don't think its inferi this time though."

Obviously, he wasn't too scared. No point, right? It would be okay. Noel had said it always worked out alright. Plus Bel would protect him right? Her and Mr. Derf, he trusted them both more than anyone else in this school. Maybe some of the Professors, but not many. "Um, Beeeeel," the paler-than-usual Ronan looked up at his captain, "what do you think he meant when he said inside something pink and furry?" Headmaster Malachi, that is. Ronan Wallace had read a lot of books, and dying via something pink and furry sounded kinda.. well.. weird. "I think he's about to tell us, Ronan." She might've called him kiddo, the tone of it was in her voice when she said his name, but she was conscious of her first years teammates feeling a bit out of place at times and she did her best not to talk down to them. "I think its something to do with that little cute creature that was at the feast, do you remember?" Or maybe he'd seen it since? Bel hadn't had any run ins herself, just come across the apparent aftermath since it was starting to seem like the creature was at fault for the damage and missing items around here. Or was that too big of a jump to make? She was just going to listen, and trust that their new headmaster was actually here to help. So far he seemed on the level. "Anyway, stick with us. It'll be okay, I reckon." The Australian girl said confidently. It had to be. Everything always was in the end.
