Indigo nodded. The benefit of never trying to get away with anything before is that it made this easier. Though he understood that Lucas would feel guilty about the deception. "Well, doing this isn't your first choice, obviously. Of course everything would be easier if they'd listen to you but if they absolutely aren't going to, then you have to do what you have to do." Indigo hadn't really settled on whether or not he really thought this was a good idea. It didn't really matter either way, because the important thing was that he supported Lucas, and if this was what he wanted to do then Indigo was going to help them. He understood him not wanting to go to university right away, as he was feeling very anxious about that whole thing as well. The advantage of having a family that didn't really care about him was that, well, they wouldn't care whatever he decided to do. "Which schools?" They could get started on making the fake rejection letters. In addition to being a helpful excuse, applying to only three schools would mean less work for them. After a moment, something else occurred to him. "What are you going to do next year instead of university?" He couldn't remember if he'd asked that before.
At his last question, Indigo just shrugged. "I dunno. You'd have to talk to her, I guess." |
