If he got there fast enough, he'd be quick enough to claim the big comfy sofa for himself and Dante.

Alas. That was not meant to be. No sooner had Abra entered the common room from the corridor outside than had he noticed the very obvious, glaring difference in the room.

But it took him a moment to process it. He stood. And stared. And looked. And squinted. And made a face of confusion.

"What..." Was this another prank? "Who..." Was Zoryn behind this? "Where..." ... was the SOFA??? "... Huh?"
Cordelia was ready to pass out on the sofa for a nap after a whole day of mentally taxing classes. There was one spot in particular that was absolutely the BEST place to sit in the whole common room. However, when she entered the common room things seemed a bit... different. The room felt larger, emptier. Right where her favourite sofa should have been was a great big gaping hole in the room. An empty space sort of hole of course, not an actual pit in the ground. Cordelia gaped dumbfoundedly at the place in the room where the sofa should have been. The only indicators that it had ever been there were the marks in the carpet and the empty feeling of the room. She was quite annoyed at the disappearance of the sofa, angry even. She had been looking forward to sitting there. It wasn't fair that whoever was behind the mysterious disappearance of the sofa had to ruin everything for all the Gryffindors. This was a common space for everyone to share, so everything ought to be left for everyone else to enjoy. "What happened to the sofa?" Cordelia looked to Prefect Abra, because as prefect surely he had all the answers. Cordelia really looked up to him, not just as prefect but as seeker on the quidditch team. That position was something she was trying to train for so hopefully she would have a shot at getting that position next year.
