The eight year-old's curiosity had now been triggered, and after looking over her shoulder at her mother, Catherine walked into the shop after the other girl.
Immediately making a face (was it just her or it smelled a little in there?), the little girl looked around with a disgusted look. Without touching anything, she moved inside the shop, but always staying near the door. Catherine sent suspicious looks towards the counter every now and then because that was indeed a very weird shop. Dodgy looking, even.
Ew, who would ever buy hand-me-down clothes?? "Gross." She muttered under her breath, sending all the judgy looks at those rummaging through the clothes.
One of the bent animal cages caught her attention, though, and Catherine moved closer to it. Bringing her face to the same level of the object, she studied it for a few seconds. Who would put their pet in something like this?
Who in the world would ever buy anything form this shop!? Catherine would never even take anything from there for free. Yuck. Roma was mistaken. Despite hating it when her judgment on everything was deemed wrong, she would personally admit at this moment that she truly was mistaken.
There was nothing better than broken teapots inside. In fact, when she entered the shop, everything just seemed a lot more worse than from outside. The books, she would let be. Some literary texts were rather costly at Flourish and Blott's, though she highly doubted the books in here had complete pages or were of readable quality. Other than that, all other items in the shop were unforgivable.
When she turned to the left, Roma made a face and eyed all clothing for sale. What was she supposed to do with a holey pair of socks? Or a ripped pair of gloves? None of those would help anyone survive the winter, and winter was coming. The brunette tried to keep all her comments to herself until she saw a pile of worn underwear on display. Worn underwear. People have used those. She couldn't help but RETCH LOUDLY at the sight and thought of anyone using...someone else's....ugh. Ew. Disgusting.
.........And why was there a rubber chicken on the counter? Was that for sale too? This shop was outrageous.
