Catherine blinked, slightly taken aback she was being spoken to by a stranger. She studied the girl for a few seconds before gazing back down at the box, only to look back up at the girl. "Hi." She finally said, keeping her eyes on the girl whose name she didn't know.
She had also been told staring was rude, but Catherine did a lot of it anyway. She was doing it again, in fact. This girl seemed alright, as she so far showed she knew bad things from good ones, so Catherine wasn't going to send her judgy looks. She was simply observing the girl and sometimes looking through the display window again, wondering if the girl was going to pick something else up to look at.
That bird cage looked ghastly, by the way. Hmm. Apparently this other girl wasn't a talker. Roma didn't mind. She herself didn't really talk to strangers either, and had only greeted the other girl because she had stared at her for more than five seconds. It would have been weird. So when the other girl replied with greeting too, Roma was slightly taken aback as well. She instead looked back at the shop displays.
Broken wands. Red remembralls. Very tattered trousers. Magazines from Merlin knows what year, perhaps they were even older than Roma herself. She had no idea why she was even scanning them. Not likely she was going to beyond anything from this shop.
Taking one last gaze down the box filled with useless parchments and broken-beyond-repair objects, Roma looked back again at the girl and said nothing verbally. She just looked at her for two seconds, an unspoken invitation to head inside as well, before walking into the shop. The brunette wondered what other horrendous things they had for sale in here. There had to be better things than broken teapots inside.
