ThunderPUFF | Whoodley | MRD&LKD | Graphics Queen | Tristalen | Mrs. A | Hunny Bun Tristan watched as the boy before him started to fall apart, giving him every excuse he could to make it okay. It wasn't just about the Bowtruckles. But Tristan knew he would just have to let that part go. It would be completely unprofessional of him and he wasn't going to go there with a student.
As he listened to Derfael speak, he folded his arms over his chest, letting the door fall closed. He kept his face blank and just listened. He knew Derfael felt he did what was best for the Bowtruckles. But that wasn't Derfael's decision to make. Certain words were sticking to him though. Experimented on...traumatized...abandoned. But he maintained his composure. He knew Alek and the things that man did to creatures. He had a lot of pent up anger that that man was even allowed in this school around children, let alone his creatures.
Tristan took a deep breath and looked down at his boots for a moment before looking back up at Derfael. There was a slight sadness in his eyes. Quietly he said, "Please, Derfael. Sit down." He turned and made his way over to his desk, relaxing his arms as he walked, his boots clomping against the wooden floors. He sat in his chair, rubbing his face with his hands for a moment.
