And that's what he was doing right now - looking for something better to do.

He told himself that if he didn't find something to do by the time he made it down to his common room, then he'd actually sit down and finish his homework. But he was open for anything remotely interesting since he was clearly procrastinating.

As he walked down the corridor, Gunnar slowed as he neared a younger girl sitting in front of a mirror. Oh yeah, that mirror. He remember being rather curious about it in his first year here, but then he pretty much forgot about it. Stopping behind her, Gunnar peered into the mirror, unsurprised to not see his reflection looking back at him. But he quietly allowed his eyes to take in the contents of the mirror for a moment. "Do you s'pose that's an alternate reality or a room trapped behind glass?" Or maybe there was another explanation for it.
Odaline was content with not having her own reflection to deal with, so sitting here was kind to her soul. She knew that she wasn't alone in the corridor when she heard the footsteps of someone approaching. Oda didn't look to see who it was until the person was behind her and speaking.

With a raised eyebrow, she glanced between the older boy behind her and then back to the mirror.

"Alternate reality." Two words! See, that was progress for her!
