DEPARTMENT OF MAGICAL TRANSPORTATION

The Department of Magical Transportation is a division of the Ministry of Magic responsible for various aspects of magical transport, including apparition, broom travel, the floo network, portkey, and newly regulated magic carpets. Employees regulate and facilitate magical transportation and travel for the benefit of the magical community.

ADMINISTRATIVE BRANCH

The Administration staff of the Department of Magical Transportation includes the Department Head, administrative assistant, liaison to the Ministry, and those tasked to work with the public (both magical and muggle) in terms of transportation.

Administrative Personal Assistant 0 position available
Assist the Department Head in anything needed from filing of paperwork, contacting employees and other Department Heads to personal errands at the discretion of the superior.

Public Transportation Specialist 2 position available
In charge of foreseeing the smooth operation of all public wizarding transportation devices (IE the Knight Bus, the Hogwarts Express, and various other modes of transportation less well known). Also responsible for going out into the muggle world to investigate ways to initiate a wizarding public transportation.

Experimental Public Transportation Developer 2 positions available
Develops a better means of public transportation for witches and wizards who either cannot or will not use apparition/floo powder to uncomfortably or inability, as well as making family travel more smooth and easy. This position will involve your skills with metal to experiment ways we can implement something similar to an undergrad train system that muggles use, only it will be for magical users. It will require much work out in the field as well as hands on magic involving metal and other building skills.

APPARITION LICENSING AND TESTING CENTER

These witches and wizards are in charge of holding Apparition lessons in the school, working to keep all apparition records current and up to date, and holding the examinations both at the school and at the office so students can come take their exams over the summer. Legal witches and wizards can also get their licenses renewed through this office.

These employees will create and issue the Apparition Licenses for witches and wizards that have passed the test apparition test.

Apparition Records Liaison 1 position available
These employees are tasked with keeping up-to-date records of all witches and wizards with Apparition Licenses and assist with administrative duties of the Apparition office.

Examiners 2 positions available
Schedules, develops, and administers all exams (written and practical) and fosters all questions from applying witches and wizards for an Apparition license

OFFICE FOR THE REGULATION OF BROOMS

These proud employees are in charge of everything to do with brooms - from the development of new models to bringing charges to wizards who use brooms improperly, that all occurs in this division. Employees also work with shops to assure all their broom needs are met and test out new features and developments on current models.

Senior Broom Supervisor 1 position available
Broom specialist and overseer of the broom division. Most senior member of the division, and general go-to person for all things broom

Broom Games Liaison 2 positions available
Employees will work with any and all gaming events to perform maintenance on brooms and inspect them. These employees work closely with the Rules and Equipment Regulation of the Department of Magical Games and Sports

Broom Company/Shops Liaison 2 positions available
Employees will meet with members of Broom manufacturing facilities and shopkeepers to regulate and inspect the brooms being sold.

Broom Feature Development 2 positions available
Develop and create new broom features (ex. cushioning, speed, appearance, etc.) and keep up statistics (ex. Fastest, slowest, types of wood, tail twigs, most popular, etc.)

FLOO NETWORK AUTHORITY

Floo is a very tricky business, and these employees are in charge of monitoring the floo networks to assure no illegal activity is happening at any and all moments. If the floo system breaks down, it is also up to this department to fix the channels.

Head Floo Network Inspector/Tester 1 position available
Oversees the Floo Network and in its entirety.

Floo/Fireplace Connections and Repair 2 positions available
Sets up and maintains all Floo Network sites and fireplaces in England.

Floo Records Workers 2 positions available
Maintains records for all active and recently active Floo lines. Will also do other filing and paperwork as needed.

Floo Usage Monitoring 1 position available
Checks and ensures that the fireplace is in working condition. Monitors overall usage in the country for safety and regulation.

PORTKEY OFFICE

Employees of the portkey office work tirelessly to assure that all issued portkeys go through the required paperwork and are prepared properly before being sent out into the field. They also research new muggle items to use as portkeys and deal with any incidents that may occur through the use of these devices, including when muggles accidentally wander upon a portkey and activate it.

Muggle Item Research worker 2 positions available
These employees will go out into Muggle England and see what the Muggles are into these days. They will buy or even find items that muggles won't want to use and pass them on over to be made into portkeys! Employees must like travel, being around muggles, and be good at muggle studies.

Portkey Manufacturer 1 position available
Creates all Portkeys from the found or bought Muggle items. Tinkers and casts the Portkey spell on all items approved by Dept. Head or Portkey Master General.

Portkey Registration Keeper 1 position available
Receives the requests for Portkeys and sends out the orders to the rest of the Dept. These employees keep up-to-date records of when and where and to whom portkeys have been delivered.

Portkey Recovery Specialist 2 positions available
No littering from the Ministry! These wizards go after used portkeys. They also specialize in retrieval of unauthorized, misplaced, or unintentional portkeys. Works closely with Accidents and Catastrophees

MAGIC CARPET DIVISION

The newest division within the department, this group of people is in charge of making sure that all things pertaining to magic carpets run smoothly. Since the legislation surrounding the use, sale, and operation of magic carpets has recently been legalized and made public, this division will have to be on top of the records, licenses, and monitoring of carpet sales and usage.

Senior Carpet Supervisor 1 position available
Oversees all issues and management within the division of magic carpet travel

Carpet Regulations Specialists 2 positions available
These employees will be working closely with the companies who mass produce carpets in order to make sure all regulations are up to code and all carpets are in sale-ready state. Any misconducts or regulations not followed will be recorded and reported to the Senior Carpet Supervisor and the Department Head as soon as possible.

Carpet License Approval Officer 2 positions available
These employees will be in charge of handling the examinations, both written and practical, of those seeking to have a carpet license.

Carpet License Record Keeper 2 positions available
These employees will keep records of all registered carpets and all persons with carpet licenses. Filing is a huge part of this job as well.
