Those kids were loud. Instead he headed towards the student oasis garden.
The fifth-year found himself very much alone when he arrived and actually he was a little grateful for this. He liked company usually and unfortunately the school had not turned into the social haven that he hoped it would be but today he just wanted to appreciate the serenity and sit by himself in silence and listen to the birds sing. Joshua left the warmth of the greenhouses and headed out into the chilly air, wishing he hadn’t forgotten his fleece jacket, cap and gloves back in his office as he headed towards the oasis, sticking his hands as deep down in his robe pockets for warmth as he could. The oasis wasn’t the first stop on this day’s list of duties before Professor Wishart took a detour to his office before he went set up that pitch again for Kay’s morning muggle sport lesson. He had so far not caught a glimpse of any of football or softball.
Coming into the quiet oasies Joshua sighed out with relief as he felt the warmth return to his cold fingers as he headed further in noting where student’s had started to plant. Spotting Caolan sitting alone on one of the benches Professor Wishart headed over to greet the senior boy. Stopping a few meters away he said quietly to not startle the boy. "It’s nice to hear some bird’s singing isn’t? It’s quite soothing to the ears instead of all the chatter of the castle corridors."
