They were all just so pretty and Chloe got caught up in that and forgot what she was doing.
When it finally came back to her that she was in a lesson her cheeks went pink and she tried to say herself, "I. ahh, made the clouds, but now we need to do this other spell."
What was it again? "Tempestas Horribilis... I think it is, we have to think about weather or something." Her brain was not helping her out and she wanted to look cool in front of the older kids not stupid. "Like the snow, but we have rain things on so maybe more rain?" She didn't really know and she wasn't seeming like she did either, Chloe was not good at faking anything. The first reaction that her question had received had surprised Stasya a little, but then it was kind of cute how Chloe was reacting too. It made her want to reassure her that he wasn’t anyone to be scared of, even if she’d been taller than most of her yearmates nearly her entire time at Hogwarts and then also now was a prefect. She was just Stasya, creature enthusiast, baker and altogether probably the gentlest Gryffindor she knew. At least, she imagined most of her housemates didn’t worry half as much as she did about the littlest things. Either way, she didn’t think she was someone to be in awe of.
The statement about the clouds made her smile a little, though. “I see that. But I should probably conjure up one of my own too. Just so the professor knows I’m paying attention,” she replied softly, before pointing her wand over her head and repeating the cloud spell while focusing on the image of a decent sized cloud. “Nubecula.”
Cloud floating overhead, she smiled at the little Claw again. “Mhm,” she murmured, verifying the spell incantation she’d been practicing not long before. “I think all spells involve concentrating on what we’re trying to create.” So that meant they needed to concentrate on weather. “If you want to do rain, we can do rain.” Others had made snow, but the point about the rain macs did make sense. Rain macs didn’t really do much against cold. “Tempestas Horribilis!,” she cast, pointing her wand up at her cloud again and imagining it growing dark and heavy with rain. Storm cloud, even. Maybe. She didn’t want to conjure up a flood or anything, and as she felt drops start falling she felt confident she hadn’t gone too far.
