*feel free to claim quaffle* Finishing station 4/ station 5 & snitch hunt Rhibear ~ Madam Solo ~ Dark Brooding Girl ~ Accio Jedi ~ Gryffinclaw ~ Just a doll Tina's eyes darted back and forth across the passing zone as the quaffle changed hands, waiting for an opportunity to catch it. Her chance came when a girl who looked a little younger than her (Nettie) tossed the quaffle her way. "Thanks!" she said, giving the other girl a small smile as she caught the quaffle in her right hand. With that, she zoomed toward the other end of the zone, keeping an eye out for someone to pass the quaffle off to. Now who should she pass to? She'd better decide fast! The quaffle was already starting to warm up a little, but it wasn't uncomfortably hot yet. She looked back, eyes shifting from one face to the next. Ah, there was someone open! "Here, catch!" she said, throwing the quaffle to the nearest person. Well, that went better than expected, Tina thought as she sped out of the passing zone and on to the next obstacle. Almost done, just two more to go! She was feeling more confident about goal scoring than she had about passing. She picked up a quaffle and threw it toward the middle hoop, but the dummy keeper deflected it. Looked like this was going to be harder than she thought. Okay, Tina! New strategy... She took a quick moment to examine the dummy. Hmm... it stood to reason that it would move in the same direction she did, so maybe she could trick it into following her to one hoop while she threw the quaffle into one of the other hoops. It was worth a try anyway!
Tina sped toward the left hoop, holding the quaffle behind her back. Steering her broom with her legs, she moved her left arm as if throwing something. while the dummy moved, she threw the quaffle toward the right hoop; she smiled to herself as it sailed straight through. Her plan worked! Now she just had to do it again. Tina repeated the process of flying toward the another hoop and fake-throwing to distract the dummy. She aimed for the left hoop, but this time the quaffle pinged off the rim. Oh, so close! Just needed to throw a little harder next time. She zoomed toward the right hoop, waiting for the dummy to follow, and threw the quaffle with all her might through the left hoop. She did it! Now all that was left was the snitch search...
Tina joined the others in the hunt for the snitch. Next to beater, seeker was probably her favorite quidditch position to play. She had keen eyes and was a fast flier, in spite of her obsolete broom; she could do this! Tina zigzagged and weaved up and down the quidditch pitch, her dark eyes scanning for any sign of the snitch. If I were a golden snitch, where wold I be? she thought. Probably in the last place anyone would expect...
Then she saw it, a flash of gold glinting behind one of the goalposts. Was that-? It was! Tina zoomed off in the direction she'd seen the snitch, hoping
nobody else would get to it first. Come on, you stupid broom! Go faster! she thought, furiously nudging her broom forward. She really needed to get a new broom! Just a little farther now... She reached out as far as her arm would stretch and - her fingers just narrowly closed around the tip of the snitch's wing. Yes! It was a close call, but she caught it. Satisfied with her work, Tina held the snitch behind her back where she couldn't see which way it went and let it go.
