Dante Olivier Giordano was in the mood for a bit of fun, and what was more fun than watching others struggle through a potentially awkward situation? Nothing, in his opinion. So, with the help of some choice friends and a house-elf or two, The Seventh Year Gryffindor had turned the spare classroom on the fifth floor into a Speed-Dating Arena fit for Hogwarts.
The usual desks had been transformed into rounded tables, which they’d set up in a circle for optimum switch-ability. each table is made up for two with a small wild flower centerpiece, a plate of various sandwiches (both sweet and savory), two glasses of never-ending sparkling cider..... and a small brown box containing cards.
The cards, plain save for some handwritten questions, will be your ice breaker for the evening. The questions vary from light and sweet, to thought-provoking and harsh. Dante Giordano will be your jolly emcee tonight, when he screams next - either commit or move on!

OOC: howdy, so this is a little variation on Speed dating. All the rules still apply but there is a catch.
When your character sits down they’ll pick up a card and read a question to break the ice

About Brody:
Brody's parents were both muggles and killed in a critical vehicular accident. He was taken in by his uncle- Lucas Hawthorne- and later legally adopted by him. Brody had a normal childhood from there on out, even having a motherly figure in his life after Lucas met Tallie. As he reached double digits in terms of age, he began to resent people. HISTORY Early Years:
Nova, along with her biological brother Alexander, was adopted by Maxine and Darcy Pascal in 2091. The pair were close - Nova in particular being very protective of Alexander and willing to do anything to ensure his safety and happiness. She was always very academically gifted, if not the most socially ept of children, but her awkwardness was more often than not found endearing.
Although wary in the first instance, Nova quickly grew to appreciate and trust her adoptive parents and their rather large extended family: they’d shown her kindness and helped to hone her interests and skills, and she was enamoured with the love shown between her parents. She was particularly close to her aunt, so much so that she chose the middle name ‘Dior’ as her aunt was a fashion designer.

Starting Hogwarts aged 11, it was not much of a surprise that Nova was sorted into Ravenclaw: her imagination and thirst for knowledge knew no bounds, and she was determined to learn everything possible.
