Torii hesitated for just a bit. She really had to tell them at some point. She had to tell them why she was here, and why didn't like it, and why she just wanted to go home. It seemed sort of fitting to do it now, seeing as she was surrounded by her housemates in their common room. Wasn't this supposed to be like a family or a home away from home? Hadn't she read somewhere that Slytherin was where she'd find her 'real friends'? She almost knew some of them more than she knew her aunt and uncle, the people she currently lived with.

"I...uh. It's going well," she said, chickening out at the last second. She'd had so much hope she could finally get some things off her chest, but she guessed not now. She managed a smile and added, "Slytherin's awesome. I'm really glad I got sorted here." Her gaze moved from one prefect to the other, and even though Max had given her a sarcastic reply, she grinned. "Wear it out? After Charms class, I think that's already happened," she said with a laugh.
