This Max was low-key HIGH-KEY freaking out.
She had known all along that this would happen. Obviously. She wasn't stupid. Actually, technically, that was still up for debate.... But, Tessa knew Polyjuice potion was forbidden and yet she had still agreed to take part in the prank. That was because she didn't always think things through. It was bound to be her downfall. She hated getting in trouble.....but it had seemed like such a harmless, fun idea at the time. It still did, to be honest.
Professor Dopple asked a question but, honestly, Tessa didn't hear a word of it. Her mind was preoccupied thinking about how many detentions she would get for this. Would her parents find out??? She had never been in trouble before so she didn't know. The words 'My office' rang in her mind. She exchanged looks with a couple of the Maxes. They were staying put, apparently. Okay. Cool cool cool. Chill. That was fine. This wasn't the end of the woooooorld.
Also, she was ROASTING.
She tugged on her collar and tried not to look as nervous as she felt.
