…. Derf.

Zoryn hadn’t noticed that he had slipped out of the class initially, however, upon his return she made eye contact. And she knew EXACTLY what he had gone and done. And yes, Zoryn was LIVID (with him because as a general fact she was still quite amused with how perfectly this whole situation was going… for the moment). This wasn’t the first time Derf had tattled, but it’d be the last time she’d regard him as a friend.

He was dead to her.

Zoryn quickly weighed out her options here. Excusing herself to go to the loo was always an option, but how cowardly would that have been? No. She’d stand her ground. Besides, what was the point of pulling a prank if you didn’t get the recognition for it anyways? Zoryn was only upset because it meant they couldn’t continue the fun, not because of the trouble the rest of the Cardens (and herself) would face as a result.

So when the headmaster arrived, THIS Max Carden didn’t show a SINGLE sign of fear. Before she got a chance to answer the question, however, the Headmaster began to speak again and well. At least her thoughts on Derf were confirmed. TATTLETALE.

She turned to GLARE AT HIM. Before turning her attention back to their Professor. At least she wouldn’t have to go to Trent’s office alone. Wasn’t like she had a squeaky-clean record before either. This was nothing. Pffffffft.

Zoryn Spinnet was immortal.

Okay, she was nervous. But Max Carden was typically nervous, so at least she was still in character!
