The door shutting hadn’t startled Stasya any more than usual, although the disappearance of the same had made the Gryffindor narrow her eyes slightly. Apparently there wasn’t going to be an easy escape, but at least her eyes had adjusted in the darkness to even notice things like that, along with the fact it seemed the headmaster had only chosen to refer to Chloe and Derf by name. Under normal circumstances, she’d be concerned about that, but so far he hadn’t seemed dangerous (aka anything like the professors last term) Maybe he just wasn’t the type to remember names, but then he’d disillusioned the door so maybe it wasn’t that.

“Like Bel had mentioned earlier, there’s a chance of creatures like hinkypunks living in the bog and leading people astray. Possibly dugbogs too, if it’s particularly marshy. Plus, it’s possible to just get lost on your own if you don’t know where you are or if the ground is solid beneath you,” she responded, having moved closer to the lantern but not close enough to bother her adjusted eyesight. Constant vigilance applied to everything after all.
