Waiting for Toddles to reply, Harri lifted her head and smiled cheerfully at the older students (Stasya, Rylee, etc) who welcomed her and her fellow newly sorted. She was liking the reception from this side so far. And look! Isla, from Diagon Alley, was there too! "Isla! Me too." Glad that they were in the same house, that is. They had so MANY things to do together in the castle, starting with, "Are you ready to go treas—"
Treasure hunting was what she was going to say but was cut off by a shrill yelp from no other than Toddles, followed by a thud against the table that made Harri not jump but slowly get up from her seat to give the house elf - with a rather wet face - enough space to get out. "Um what..." The newly sorted Gryffindor started to ask but was once again interrupted as Toddles reported that HIS (Toddles was a his, then?) fluffsies was missing.
Fluffsies?

Did she hear someone say toad? From somewhere not in the Gryffindor table?
...but all the way from that table over there? The Hufflepuff table? "ME! Me! I lost my toad!" Did she say it loud enough for the Hufflepuffs to hear or for some other people to tell whoever has her toad that it was HER toad (hopefully it WAS her toad)? Sorry Toddles, but Missus Hurry had lost her, er, not-so-fluffsies, too. And now she was more focused on getting her toad back (it WAS her toad, right?!) than on Toddles. Ah, the attention span of an eleven year old.
Although at the sound of 'fluffy scrub brushy' Harri turned back to Toddles for like a sec. "You named the hamster Cheeksies?" So CUTE. But a growling Toddles was not.
