When Gaston apologised to Daisy, she shrugged her shoulders. "Don't worry about it. I am hungry, myself. How about I buy us all something to eat and drink? Maybe a scoop of ice-cream and a fizzing lemonade? Would your daughter like that?"

Gaston nodded. "That's completely understandable!" he said. He was still angry about everything that had happened over the past term - not the explosive rage kind of anger, more the cold rrsentment kind,
the kind that never completly went away. He shook his head to clear the bad thoughts, then looked at Daisy with a small smile.

"As if there was any doubt of that!" he exclaimed, beaming at the news of Daisy's OWL results. She was always one of his best charms students! "Congratulations on your OWL results! You'll make an excellent healer someday." She already had the kindness of a healer!

Gaston returned Daisy's grin. "Thank you," he said. "It's a conscience tattoo; it burns if I do anything morall6 wrong. He was proud of all his tattoos, but this one had a very special meaning. Each link in the chain represented a person who had been hurt under Scrimgeour's reign, either physically or emotionally, as a reminder to never allow anyone else to be subjugated that way. He debated whether or not to tell Daisy the significance but decided against it;
he didn't want to dampen her mood! So instead he listened tolistened to her tattoo idea. "That sounds like a cute tattoo!"

He was going to ask Daisy if she thought he should get a Gryffindor-inspired tattoo, but suddenly Desiree let out a whimper. Gaston knew that sound all too well; it was a warning that she was about to cry at any moment. "Poor baby Desiree," he whispered, hugging her. "I know, you don't like sharing your dad..." He chuckled, unsure whether to find Desiree's clinginess annoying or adorable!

He was so busy comforting his daughter that it took him a moment to register that Daisy offered to buy them food.
When he did, he was unsure how to react. "You don't have to-" he began, but Desiree's little voice cut him off.
"Ice cweam? Daddy, ice cweam!"

Gaston laughed, turning to Daisy as Desiree wiggled excitedly in his arms. "I'll take that as a yes!"
