<3 Shoe!Girl │ Rebel Ravie │ Confundus Queen │ RP Addict Dealing with her family at King’s Cross had been oddly unexpected, and Stasya had rather expected that she would have been one of the last ones on the train. She’d stalled the trip to the prefect’s compartment with her conversation with Koen, too, although that hadn’t been intentional at all. She wasn’t ashamed of herself for what had or hadn’t happened last term. Seeing as she’d kept her badge meant she couldn’t have messed up irreversibly, after all, even if deep down she still felt like she’d expected punishment for her little acts of resistance. She wasn’t letting it bother her. It had been years since the last time she’d started a term in tears, and she was definitely proud of herself for that. She liked to think that Professor Hirsch was proud of her too, even if he didn’t know, and the fact she already knew that she wasn’t going to see Professor Marchand up at the staff table this term made her feel confident that her resolve wasn’t going to waver.
Standing in the corridor outside the compartment door while she finished her conversation with Koen, she’d seen Anna rush past and laughed a little to herself. Some people didn’t change, and she didn’t want them to. It was only after another few moments that she’d slipped inside, Dobby still perched on her shoulder as he had been nearly all summer. The squirrel seemed to still not be completely recovered from last term, and she didn’t blame him. Not really. All that was left was to hope that there weren’t going to be any other drastic changes at Hogwarts.
She’d had a smile on her face as she saw the others in the compartment already, not surprised in the least that it appeared she was one of the last to arrive. “Hi everyone!,” she said brightly, giving a curious look at the gift basket at one of the remaining open seats but otherwise not questioning it. Nor the presence of Chloe and Natalie amongst the returning student leaders.
And then she also saw the badge on Derf’s robes. “Congratulations! You too, Chloe!” She was definitely more excited now, dropping into the seat and nudging the basket aside. Investigation was obviously going to happen regarding that soon. First, she wondered who else was missing. That and if they were having a meeting. She was willing to fill people in on what was discussed later if she had to.
