Gunnar laughed at the crup's slobbery kisses, edging his face just slightly away. He had to admit he was awfully cute. And....maybe Kodee was right. Maybe he was just roaming the junk shop looking for a buyer, along with the rest of this stuff. He grinned as the Gryffindor pawed the pup's little feet at him.
"Maybe... but I sure can't take him. Not after our whole kneazle plan last summer." It worked out in the end as he still had Wolfgang and had been able to keep him, but he was sure that would not work another time. Didn't need to push his luck. "You should probably make sure though..." Because even though he was really cute and he honestly wouldn't mind them taking him, someone might get awfully upset if he really did belong to someone and they just took him.
And that someone seemed to be the shopkeeper.
Uh... Gunnar froze a moment, staring at the man while Kodee chattered on. Wait... what? A rubber chicken? His eyes fell on the rubber chicken in the shopkeeper's hand. "What would we...?" He started to say to Kodee but wasn't able to finish that question before his friend confirmed that he would want one too. Yeah, okay, sure... maybe he'd get one if there were some to be had.
And Kodee was talking. And talking. And talking. And so many questions. Playing it cool, Gunnar interjected once his mate took a breath. "Sorry... we just didn't know he was yours. He's really cool though, what is his name?" And now that they knew he had an owner, it was not likely that the crup was leaving with either of them. But hopefully they wouldn't get kicked out of here now too.
