The arrival of a meerkat patronus to his office had certainly taken Charles by surprise, particularly since he did not know to whom the patronus belonged to other than it was none of his department heads seeing as he had clocked all those to memory for emergency purposes. But the silvery rodent had been so persistent that he leave his paperwork and follow that, well, Charles obliged and shuffled out of his office with his dark crimson robes billowing behind him...
...to the food court?
Charles was instantly on edge considering that here had been the source of much of the chaos caused by the former Minister, though there was a bit of relief in seeing that January and Maddox were already present - which also meant the presence of one or two aurors as well.
As for the scene at hand, well, under other circumstances he may have found it comical. It reminded him very much of his grandchildren - the triplets - at dinner time where all of them ended up wearing their spaghetti and very little of it actually getting into their mouths.
"I followed the meerkat...." he informed those not acting like complete toddlers just as the silvery patronus returned to its caster and dissipated into thin air. "Maddox. January. One of you care to debrief me?"
And yes, his wand was out in one hand. And a packet of yogurt covered raisins in the other. He had been snacking while doing his paperwork, you see.
