Sardines ♥ BHB ♥ Dallie ♥ Grumpy ♥ MY SUN AND STARS ♥ i love julia Evangeline was present, but not visible. Keeping herself disillusioned, as she had done for the last several weeks while she was on watch for the Senior Undersecretary, the Auror had followed the woman from her office, keeping silent. It was her job, after all, to protect her. While the job had been mostly mundane, there were always opportunities for something to happen, so Evangeline remained focused and consistent. As did her partner.
That day seemed to take an interesting turn when they arrived at the food court. She was skeptical at first, since it had been advised that January not eat food prepared by anyone other than herself, but her focus took a turn when she took in the scene that was happening ON the buffets. Once Mrs. Bones froze, Evangeline crept up beside her, wand out in case this strange scene were to come to something more.
Ugh, of course the YATI had to show up. She despised him. And to make matters worse, he had a loud mouth. That comment flagged him though, and Evangeline made a mental note to keep an extra eye on him. And perhaps request permission to look into his file. As he moved on, though, Evangeline placed a shield charm around the Senior Undersecretary. They both had jobs to do and her job was to make sure that Mrs. Bones stayed clean and uninjured while she did hers. - - - - - Before she could take in more of the scene, January was taken aback by the comment that came from the young man that entered the food court next. "You're just useless in every situation, aren't you?" January's ears turned red, at first out of embarrassment, and then out of anger. Who was that? That thought he could talk to her like that? Did he know she could have him fired in an instant? It wasn't like her to do so, but she was almost tempted to considering the similarly worded letters that sat heavily on her desk.
Shaking her head from the thoughts and removing her wand from its holster, January brought herself back to the situation on hand, noting the two patronuses that the young man had sent away. And just a moment later, Maddox had appeared by her side, looking just as excited as she was to try and fix this... somehow. Clearly something was... off. And they would need to be detained. And examined. She nodded at Maddox's suggestion, which echoed her thoughts, and followed his execution - but not without noticing that some food that had been thrown at them had mysteriously bounced off an invisible force field that she herself had not put up. Though she hadn't expected her Auror to follow her, she was quite glad that they had.
January sent a levitation spell to Val with the intention of bringing him away from the food. Perhaps the snarky YATI would see and follow suit with the last one. "Should we take them to your level?" she asked Maddox. Did this... qualify as a catastrophe? |
