Natalie was nearly bouncing out of her seat when a familiar face with a big box came into the compartment. Chloe? Oh, wait! Chloe! "You're Head Girl!" she exclaimed, jumping up to give Chloe a hug, still without a clue that their mutual darling blonde friend was made the head boy. "I'm so nervous," she answered, sitting back down, blue eyes on the little baskets that Chloe was pulling out. Natalie liked gifts. And so far Chloe's friendship had consisted of gifts, so she was definitely pleased.
"This is so neat," she remarked softly, taking and opening the gift basket when she was invited to. Cookies, soaps, a cute chunky (lumpy?) scarf... "Chloeeeee, this is so sweet! Did you make all these?" The scarf definitely looked handmade, but it was cute! In an 'awwww, she tried' sort of way. But the cookies were calling her name, so she opened those up and took a bite before responding to Daisy's question. "I'm SO excited. I've wanted to be a prefect since I was five. I guess they finally decided I would do okay." Whoever they were. Maybe the new administration liked her. Or perhaps she was their last hope. But she was trying to think positively.
As Natalie munched on her cookie, more people filed in, including her CO-PREFECT, MAXTON CARDEN. Natalie beamed when he arrived, bounced a little, dropped cookie crumbs onto her blouse and then aggressively patted the empty spot on the other side of her. "Max! Come sit with me." NOW. PLEASE.
