Chloe wanted to be FIRST into the prefect compartment, but second was very good too. Her arms were super full and she had to use her hip to manhandle the door open far enough to tumble through. Graceful, yeeeeeet, limited audience made it okay. And limited audience who she was on friendly terms with meant it was okay.
"Natalie! Congratulations!" Chloe dropped the box she carried onto the nearest seat so she could bear hug the Slytherin female prefect. Congraaaaatualations to them both! "Hi! I'm here too! Isn't it exciting? Are you nervous? I'm a little nervous. I made gifts for everyone, though, and you can have yours now. Go ahead and open it." She let the other girl over and opened the box to reveal a collection of gift baskets.
One for Miss Natalie... full of homemade cookies and pretty scented soaps, a nobbly scarf in house colors knitted by Chloe (poorly), and a box of sugar quills in mixed flavors. The same was in all the baskets, and Chloe placed one basket on each seat for the rest of the arriving prefects. Whew. She was EXCITED. And NERVOUS. AND EXCITED.
