THE PREFECT'S COMPARTMENT.
It was as magical as Natalie had dreamed it would be. Of course, she had snuck a look or two over the years, but never dared to go inside. She didn't want to get in trouble, of course. But now this was HER compartment. She was a PREFECT. She was still beyond elated about receiving the badge in the mail. She had already told pretty much everyone about it, including (of course) Maxton, who she would be working with. She had a feeling that she was going to have to push him around a little bit to keep him on top of all their prefect duties, but that was okay. He HAD to be better than Flynn Kowalski.
She was also excited to finally be able to share a compartment with Derf. Now they were going to be Prefect buddies together! How exciting!
IT WAS GOING TO BE THE BEST FINAL YEAR EVVERERRRRR.
Trying to contain her excitement (and failing), PREFECT Natalie McKinley, entered the Prefect's compartment with a big ol' dorky smile on her face. To no surprise, she was the first one there. She had barely arrived at the platform with her parents when she ran towards the train. But her mother had yelled at her to come back and give her a hug (threatening to not send her any sweets during the term if she didn't). After that, she ran for the train.
After looking around a moment, Natalie plopped down onto one of the benches, tucking her crisp, freshly ironed uniform skirt under her legs. Was it just her, or were the prefect benches even more comfortable than the rest? UGH, this was AWESOME. |
