It had been a busy morning. Paperwork, permits, requests, denials, proofing, yada yada. It was one of those weeks where the paperwork seemed to be endless and her bum had practically been glued to her chair. She had added some cushioning charms to it, so it wasn't uncomfortable, but her legs were getting quite restless.
Since it was about lunch time, January grabbed a file folder that she could look over while on the go and headed to the atrium to stretch her legs and get a few more steps into her day - more than she would have if she had stayed holed up in her office.

Strange noises and movements out of the corner of her eye had drawn January's attention from her file. And what she discovered ON the food buffets was quite... disturbing.
And so incredibly perplexing. January had to stare and blink her eyes a few times to make sure she wasn't imagining... adult humans... devouring the food buffet... like savages... IN the food. And January was... frozen. |
