The circus? Hmm. Torii kind of thought that maybe her aunt was trying a little too hard, but at least she was trying. The decision to go to the circus after a long day shopping for school clothes had been one made on a whim. At first, Torii had seemed hesitant. Really hesitant. Again, though, at least her aunt was trying, and that made Torii seem to want to try just a little herself. She knew her aunt and uncle loved her and felt sorry for her all at the same time, but they still hadn't made any sort of connection. Torii still felt lost and all alone.

When she blinked her eyes, she was in a seat, and a team called The Flying Demiguises had taken the stage. Whoooa. Had she been so lost in her thoughts that she'd just wandered around with her aunt until she found herself here? That was kind of scary in a way. She checked to make sure her aunt was indeed still beside her. Good. She was. The fourteen year old got herself comfortable and fixed her eyes on the act.
