| for Thea <3 Shoe!Girl │ Rebel Ravie │ Confundus Queen │ RP Addict She had only gotten the briefest of details as to what had happened at Hogwarts over the past term from her daughter, even though Bryn knew she could have just sent a message to Roderik to ask what it was Stasya had sent him over the holidays. Stas hadn’t wanted her to see what was written in the notebook, and she respected her daughter’s privacy to the extent it wasn’t leading her into danger. Either that or leading her down her father’s path, but she knew her daughter. She knew that wasn’t likely, even as she still harbored the fear that Vladimir’s choice wasn’t actually going to keep them safe. The fear that had strained her relationship with Stas’ uncle, even if she hoped that was slowly healing as well.
There was a lot of conflict in her head, most of which Bryn knew instinctively wasn’t going to be fixed easily and most definitely not with a trip to Diagon Alley or immersing herself in Gobstones like she usually did when there were willing babysitters for Demyan, as Stas was doing now. Time healed all wounds, people said, but she was afraid hers were too deep to completely heal. Hope hadn’t died entirely, but she knew she wasn’t actively pursuing it. Just as she knew her daughter wanted it for her.
It was thoughts about Stas that had propelled her to step inside the mirror shop and start perusing the shelves. Maybe a set of two-way mirrors would help things when she was at Hogwarts. If anything, they ought to be quicker than letters.
