It was Lucy's least favorite time of the year. Christmas had passed and all that was left was the long, cold, stretch until spring. After her husband's death, she had chosen to ignore Valentine's day. Needing a little boost to her spirits, she decided to pay a visit to one of the sweetest shopkeepers she knew.
Stepping out of the cold and into the shop, she quickly made her way over to the counter. "Lexi!" She greeted with a bright smile on her face. "How are you. It's been far too long."
