"So, Harry, if you don't mind my asking, how come you're not sitting over there with Ron and Hermione today?" squeaked Colin.
"They're havin' a go because Hermione thinks Professor Sprout could have told us more about Mandrake Draught, Ron said that it would have been information they would never use, and now Hermione is telling him all about the importance of learning. I was not going to pick a side on that one." said Harry, exasperatedly.
"Well, I know all I need to know about Mandrake Draught after it woke me up from being petrified. You'd know all about that, wouldn't you Harry?" squeaked Colin again.
Harry smirked at Colin getting worked up at the opportunity to get him going about one of his adventures again. Thinking to himself about how truly remarkable it was that Colin could have such a close brush with death, use it as a learning experience, and still be in awe of Harry. It was a luxury Harry could not afford, he had seen and felt actual death. Just then, Hermione and Ron got up and their expressions and actions began to get more animated. Hermione was waving him over and Colin, of course, followed him.
When they reached the other side of The Great Hall were Ron and Hermione were talking, they caught the tail end of the conversation.
".....I will show you what I'm talking about myself then, Ronald! When I do, Harry will have to take my side, right Harry?" said Hermione rather pointedly.
"Oh...uhh I d-dunno...." stammered Harry.
Then the quarter made their way off to the greenhouses with Colin snapping pictures of every moment. Harry hoped Hermione was right and all of this would somehow be important to them and their fight against dark wizards...and if it wasn't at least Colin would probably make it seem like it was.
