Jackson had been present of course, but had been busy scribbling notes during the first questions because he had finally realized how much he did NOT know about First Aid. Plus, honestly the vibe in the room was really bumming him out. Charms was one of Jackson’s favorite subjects, even if it wasn’t necessarily his best, but today’s lesson looked a bit uh… grim, really. He shrugged it off though because this stuff was so helpful at Hogwarts what with weird things happening like, all the time. You’d think they would have come up with a more powerful spell to defend themselves! Oh, magic was a crazy thing.
He had finished his notes and was surveying the dummies when the next instructions were given out. Yea, that had been expected considering what the dummies looked like right now. Blech. Jackson found a torn up looking dummy and began noting its injuries for his records. Today would have been a good day to have some of that bruise paste that they had made, huh?? It’s too bad that it was up in his dorm right now… He silently cursed himself for this but began healing with the spell he felt more familiar with. He looked at the broken nose first and considered it. After gathering his focus a bit more, he tried the spell out. “Episkey!” And with a pop similar to the one heard when someone Apparated, the nose cracked back to its ‘natural’ placement. Jackson cringed a bit at the sight, but it was immediately over. Yea… He was much more likely to be a patient than a Healer. He took a moment to survey the other students and seeing how they fared, but his eyes caught Jessa’s dummy and his eyebrows raised slightly of their own accord. Whoa. Yea, he hadn’t planned on animating his victim patient. Jackson brought his attention back to his dummy. Well, okay, his name was already chosen…
Jackson’s dummy’s name was Alfred. Alfred had tried to help, but he wasn’t very skilled in dueling apparently. Jackson looked over Alfred’s wounds again and went for any minor cuts he could find. “Episkey… Episkey!...Episkey!” Once these had been cleared up, it was time to address the elephant in the room… This broken jaw. The jaw was practically hanging off on one side if he was being honest and it was quite gruesome. “Ferula!” …nothing happened. The mangled jaw still lay limp at that odd angle. He sighed. Alright, let’s try this again. He closed his eyes trying to clear it of distractions. |
