The look on Scrimgeour's face remained fixated on Kennedy and did not falter at the former Astronomy professor's words. If it was a threat, it was a poor one. The man did not feel threatened at all. He had the Board on his side, even the Minister if he needed to go that far.
That Patronus showed a lot about Kennedy too. No wonder why he was so weak. "It sounded like a bunch of nonsense that a Centaur would give," he said in response to O'Hara. "I wouldn't dwell on it too much. The future most certainly isn't written in the stars. It all has to do with our choices, and clearly Kennedy made the wrong choice by thinking he was above the work we are doing here."
Scrimgeour then turned to both Prefects. "Thank you for bringing this incident to my attention. Should any others follow in Kennedy's footsteps, you, as are the others, are to report them immediately to me. You two are dismissed."
