The boys were super attached to the cat and the cat well the cat clearly liked her brothers most of all out of anyone, ever.
Slowly she pulled the door open… peeking into room she called for her cat. ”Boo… Booboo are you in here?” slipping in between door and the door frame and shutting the door behind her. Moving around the room of cats she looked around for her own little black fluffy ball. She had found her here a few weeks ago she must have gotten in somehow. More recently she had caught Boo trying to get into the room. This made it one of the first places for he to look. The weather outside was not favorable - cold, rainy, and thunderclaps in the distance - which meant that Derf was mostly confined to the indoors. Though an entire day indoors even with the mandatory fresh air S.O.R.E required was just not enough and he needed to go outside the stone walls and spend time down in the barn. Later...he was hoping the storm would pass, or at least lessen, later on in the afternoon. So, to get this creature fix regardless, Derf was already in the Cat Therapy Room - somewhere he already frequented quite often.
People often immediately thought of dogs as the go-to therapy animal with horses a secondary variety, felines were quite well suited to the task even with the aloof nature one often associated with them. That whole...don't come when called but will take a message and get back to you at their leisure sort of thing. It all came down to temperament, something not exclusive to any one species.
Laying on his back with one of the cats purring rhythmically on his chest, Derf did not hear the door open as Juniper stepped inside. He was hoping, expecting even, the vibration of his furry companion's purring would harness its healing properties to help with all these negative emotions suffocating him as of late.
Eyes closed and the purring almost luring him into a comfortable sleep, the sixth year's eyes flew open when he heard a voice and he gave the Ragdoll on his chest an unintentionally firm stroke down her white back.
"Huh?"
