Angry, the free Red Cap ran toward the female humans. The Summoning Charms that were casted didn't stop her. In fact, she ran with the tree branches and rocks. She didn't go for the humans that had blasted her back or the one that had summoned the forest objects; her target was the one that was wanting to take her sister.

The Red Cap pounced and started aggressively slashed at the legs of the older girl.

With the red cap distracted with attacking, it was far less likely to put up resistance or be able to defend itself in time and two red caps were decidedly better than one. It was fate, this thing running up to her like this and if she could ignore the horrid throbbing in her legs, the reward would be worth it.

Non-verbally—so as not to give away her next move—Jessa cast another stupefy in the hopes of rendering this one unconscious too. It would certainly make this all easier.

Directly following that, she conjured a net to fall over the creature, wanting to reduce all chances of escape.

In all this, despite the pain, the Head Girl did her best not to pull away or run. Why? Because if she dislodged this thing from her leg then her chances of a successful capture significantly decreased and she just couldn’t have that.

"JESSA!" Chloe probably could have reacted more appropriately than stomping her feet in a temper at the sudden appearance of the Head Girl. They were handling their red caps perfectly well, and now they had to contend with a Head Girl under attack. If she was permanently maimed, Chloe was gonna have to get therapy over it.

"We are not keeping dark creatures. Or if you do, don't tell me." Imagine a person so principled that they walked out of class over a cup of cocoa and yet so unprincipled that they fought dark creatures just to collect them for some crazy person zoo. Jessa was the most admirable and infuriating person Chloe knew.

Jessa was pummeling the red cap with spells and probably didn't need her help. Definitely didn't need her help. Chloe seated herself on the unconscious red cap and began conjuring bandages to wrap Jessa's wounds. "Inurio Bani. Go get 'em, HG."
