OOC: Turning a blind eye to the Nathan post, since he's in Astronomy on this TL. :) The old man was tempted to tell the Hufflepuff Prefect to shut his mouth. He didn't need an spoken novel told to him about why he was in Astronomy and all of the other mumbo jumbo that was spewing out of his mouth. Scrimgeour didn't care. All he cared about was getting a straight-to-the-point answer. All the banter was wasting his time.
A stern look was given to Ashburry-Hawthorne. Hopefully he took the hint. He had done enough by reporting the Astronomy professor.
Cambridge's answer was exactly what he wanted. It was short and told him enough to know what had happened. If there was anything the man hoped the Hufflepuff learned, it was precision of language, without the rambling and emotions.
No words of appreciation were given to the Prefect and Head Girl. The man didn't felt the need to give them, for it was their job to report rule-breaking in all of its forms. But this was a matter of utmost seriousness. A professor was promoting the breaking of rules AND denying education. Scrimgeour knew Kennedy was weak and had a hunch that he would snap eventually. "Kennedy's behaviour certainly will not be tolerated under my command," he finally stated, his voice sounding nastier than usual. The man was quite a stickler for hashing out consequences to those who deserved it, professors included.
His cold eyes then fell back onto the two students. "You two will be coming with me," Scrimgeour grunted at the two student leaders. They were witnesses of what all had happened, and they were going to continue to be witnesses. As for O'Hara, the man looked at her and added, "You are welcome to join us."
With nothing more to say, he led the way out of the hall. They would be waiting for the rogue Astronomy professor in the courtyard. What a spectacle that was going to be.
