Nettie grinned as she watched Stella reach up and grab the branch right underneath the bowtruckle she'd just given the egg to. "Great job!" she exclaimed. That had been easier than she anticipated! Now she knew why so many people loved bowtruckles. They were ADORABLE.

She looked around and took another handful of wood lice and then looked up, spotting a little bowtruckle peering at her with interest a few branches away. She sat up and held out the offering for the bowtruckle, and waited until it slowly started to approach again. It grabbed the wood lice, and she held out a fairy egg for it after that. The bowtruckle accepted her other gift - with a lot less GUSTO than the last one, she might add - and the coast was clear for Stella to grab another branch.
